Synopsis

Nam Ho-seop was once a promising actor, earning the Best Actor award at the 2013 Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. After losing his eyesight, he settled in the coastal city of Sokcho, working as a licensed masseur to survive. By day, he kneads away his clients' fatigue; by night, he sits at a newly acquired piano, mapping out melodies solely through touch and sound. Rather than letting darkness isolate him, he relies on voices, breathing, and subtle silence to connect with the world around him.

Determined to return to his true calling, Ho-seop reunites with fellow actors to stage Perfect Blind, a modern adaptation of the Oedipus myth. Performing as a sightless actor playing the blinded king, he channel’s humanity's deepest agony and ultimate resilience directly through his body. Far from a conventional story of overcoming disability, Perfect Blind is an intimate portrait of an artist fighting for his identity, forcing us to ask what it truly means to see.
